Robotz Cricket Cartridge
Okay, I’m going to show you another quick project using the Robotz Cricket Cartridge. If you’re anything like me, life is crazy, so you need some quick scrapbook layout ideas. I have some simple formulas that I use. One of them is just strips of paper. I add strips of paper on my 12X12 cardstock, and this is just 6X12 inches of black and this is 12X12 yellow and I’m just using my ATG gun to quickly add the strip on… oops! I have a weird angle there… here we go, add the strip on here, oops.
Okay, and already you can just how it just separates the page and I’ve already cut this robot: “Hello, how are you doing?” I know I just wrote on the card that when boys see robots, that’s how they talk and I have three little boys and it’s really cute, I don’t know, probably the first five minutes, and then it really gets on your nerves, so, I thought I would make a scrapbook page of them posing like a robot, which they do all the time, and then, my title, which is also cut from the robots… I love this because it does have a cute title font, I’m sorry, a font feature, and of course you know what it’s going to say, right? And you have to say it like this: “I am a ro-bot,” because you know, if you have boys, they do talk like that. And some girls too, because I know, my daughters, when they were younger, my second oldest daughter, she liked to do that too. I think they just really appreciate how parents react when they talk like that for an hour.
So anyway, I thought it’d be really fun to have a scrapbook page that says, “I am a ro-bot” and then, now you add a picture and some journaling, and I’ll tell the story of how my kids drove me crazy talking like a robot for an hour one day, or however many days they do that, but it’ll be good memories. Anyway, here’s a quick and simple scrapbook layout, and I hope you have a fabulous day!
Cosmo Cricket
Working with the…the Cosmo Cricket we have– the pantry, yourpaperpantry.ning.com — we started challenge groups where some of the groups are for swapping projects with each other and some of them are for challenges, just to kind of challenge yourself or to challenge each other and this one is for the 12X12 Layout Challenge. And um, Sara is the moderator of that and she… and this, for this month, she got some, um, Cosmo Cricket paper, she got Cosmo Cricket de- donated paper for our challenge this month, and so that’s why this is the Cosmo Cricket Challenge. You can use any Craftmo paper you want, you know you do have to be a member of yourpaperpantry, but you’ve got to… if you’re not already, come on over because we’re um constantly having fun.
So that’s the challenge this month, be sure to visit the cosmo cricket blog, now use the Cosmo Cricket and do a layout, so I thought as the leader of my little band of gypsies, why don’t I do—I’ll challenge myself to do a layout, you know, something I haven’t done, except for the pretend layouts for my husband’s work, so um, being a good little leader, I am doing a, the challenge. So, hopefully, everybody will join in and you know, um, who doesn’t want to win free paper, you know, especially Cosmo Cricket?! Theirs has got to be the best in the whole world! You know, of course, until ah Graphic 45 comes out with something new, so don’t tell Cosmo. No, I do, I’ve always loved cosmo cricket paper, it’s just… I’m very drawn to it. Excuse me. I don’t want a black heart.
