Cricket Expression – Larger Cutting Format
If you plan to travel short or long distances with your cutting machine make sure you understand the the original cricket design is much more compact then the Cricket Expression. It does offer a much larger format then it’s smaller cousin and for me that is a huge benefit. I never like to be confined by the size of my scrapbook format. The creative process is what I love and keeping limitations away from me help me create great projects.
So the short of it is, I think it’s worth being a little on the big size for the creative freedom it gives me during a cricket scrapbooking project.

Vintage scrapbooking paper
I just started a new scrapbook project last Saturday and I had a great idea. This one is for my parents, which by the way the are in there 80′s. Still spry though they about to renew there wedding vows on a cruise ship. Boom I had a great idea. Follow this:
What if I created a scrapbook that started out vintage and then transitioned to current modern style layouts when it was complete. I decided to not only make the look of the paper old, but actually go out and find old paper. Where you might ask. Exactly right. I went to a 2nd hand bookstore to find some very old creative looking papers in old book. Actual vintage stuff.
Well needless to say the scrapbook was a huge success and every loved the really old look and feel…because it was old. Needless to say the parents are happily cuddling each other as they look through the vintage theme scrapbook.

Just wanted to let everyone know that it really is spelled cricut. It took me a little time to figure out that the Cricket Scrapbooking Machine was misspelled. Yes it fooled me too when Provo put the picture of a cricket on the cutting machine. For a while I was sure that it was called a Cricket Scrapbooking Machine. I was red in the face when I realized my error.
Let’s move on though because I think we can all agree the old way of creating scrapbook layouts is dead. Yes I said dead. Why you might ask is it necessary to change to new ways. Because it is the best form of expressing yourself. When it’s late at night and the stores are closed and you have a grand inspiration, well go for it girl. Now that you have the cricket scrapbooking machine there is no need to put your scrapbook idea on hold. Go for it. Create to your hearts desire. No more excuses for creating the most beautiful design you have ever done before. Top yourself over and over. Bring on the weddings, the parties, Christmas and Easter. The family tree has never looked better then after you have created a masterpiece using the cricket machine.
